Meet Dr. Nerisa Limansubroto (Dr. Lim)

Dr. Nerisa Limansubroto, known to her patients as Dr. Lim, is a board-certified endodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. She is dedicated to preserving natural teeth whenever possible and is known for her thoughtful, patient-centered approach to complex endodontic care. Dr. Lim combines advanced technology with precision and compassion to help patients achieve long-term oral health.

Originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, Dr. Lim spent much of her early life in Singapore before moving to the United States to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Lim returned to Singapore, where she practiced general dentistry in a multi-specialty hospital clinic for two years. During this time, she treated numerous dental trauma cases requiring endodontic management, which led her to discover her passion for endodontics and complex tooth preservation.

Advanced Training & Clinical Expertise:

Dr. Lim completed her endodontic specialty training at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where she also earned a Master of Science in Dentistry, with a particular focus on regenerative endodontics. Her advanced education allows her to treat challenging cases using evidence-based techniques and the latest advancements in the field.

She has extensive experience in:

• Endodontic microsurgery
• Regenerative endodontic procedures

Previously, Dr. Lim practiced in an endodontic specialty office in Visalia, California, while her husband—an LA native—completed his Emergency Medicine residency. In 2022, they returned to Los Angeles with their daughter and two cats to be closer to family.

Philosophy of Care & Collaboration:

Dr. Lim is deeply committed to saving teeth and will go the extra mile to give teeth a second—or even third—chance whenever possible. With the use of 3D imaging, microsurgical techniques, and bioceramic materials, there are very few situations where a tooth cannot be preserved.

In complex cases requiring both endodontic and periodontal care, Dr. Lim works closely with her periodontal colleagues to ensure a collaborative, comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each patient’s needs.

Personal Life & Community Involvement:

Outside of the office, Dr. Lim enjoys singing, playing the piano, exploring different cuisines, and traveling—especially to visit her family in Indonesia.

She is also a frequent contributor to Pasadena Now, where she shares expert insights on endodontic topics. Her writing helps educate the community and reinforces her role as a trusted voice in dental care throughout Pasadena.
