Meet Dr. Rebecca Weightman

Dr. Rebecca Weightman is a board-certified periodontist and dental implant specialist, holding Diplomate status with the American Board of Periodontology. She is dedicated to providing advanced periodontal and implant care in a calm, supportive environment where patients feel informed and at ease. As the owner of Foundation Dental Specialists, Dr. Weightman is committed to delivering ethical, patient-first care with a focus on long-term oral health and surgical excellence.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Dr. Weightman completed her dental education in Boston, earning her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Harvard University. During her time at Harvard, she served as Vice President of her class and Philanthropy Chair for the American Student Dental Association – Harvard Chapter. She was also recognized for her work expanding access to dental care for Boston’s homeless population, reflecting her dedication to community service and public health.

After dental school, Dr. Weightman completed a rigorous three-year residency in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery at the University of Illinois in Chicago. During her residency, she earned a Master’s Degree in Oral Sciences, conducting research on the effects of tobacco smoke on oral bacteria—further strengthening her foundation in evidence-based periodontal care.

Since 2015, Dr. Weightman has been in private practice as a periodontist, with extensive experience in:

Personal Life & Community Involvement:

Dr. Weightman is married to a La Cañada native and lives in South Pasadena with her three children and their adopted lab mix, Dakota. Outside of the office, she enjoys gardening, yoga, and spending time outdoors with her family.

She is also a frequent contributor to Pasadena Now, where she shares professional insights on periodontal health and dental implants, helping educate the local community and establish trust through expert guidance.
